Sgt Frank L Frank, Pilot, R.C.A.F. |
|||||
I am indebted to Mrs Marion Clarke
(Nee McIntosh) for her personal contribution to the site and for adding a little
more information on Frank.
"Frank and his family lived next to us in the 30's. His sister, Babs and I were friends. The family eventually moved to Windsor, Ontario. Babs and I corresponded regularly until her death four years ago. (1999.) It was while Frank was in Souris, Manitoba that he came to see us. My mother was born in Souris. Frank was stationed in bases close to Regina so were were able to visit. His bases were in Yorkton, Regina, Fort William, Ontario and then back to Yorkton. Frank joined the RCAF as a a trainee pilot August 1942.

"He was posted to a station in
England for a while and then was sent back to Scotland. There he was
stationed, Elgin, Macduff and other places around there"
We had a great time together. He was a wonderful man. We never talked much about the future we were happy with the present. Frank had a feeling he wouldn't be coming back. I was devastated and heart broken when I received news of his death. He gave his life that others may live in peace. Franks birthday was August 12, 1922. Marion Clarke (Nee McIntosh) |
