Lest we forget.....

This page is dedicated to the members of No 42 Squadron, Royal Air Force, who were lost on the night of 11 January 1955. The two crews flying Shackleton Mk II's WG531 and WL743 went missing during a routine exercise off the Fastnet Rock. An intensive search was carried out which lasted three days and involved all the aircraft of the Unit, and many aircraft from other Squadrons and Commands.
