Using the River Findhorn Gauge.

Telephone access to the SEPA water level gauge on the outskirts of Forres Gauge was withdrawn some time ago. This was due to "the level of unauthorised access causing problems for SEPA staff accessing the data". Naturally this caused great disappointment to a majority of the people of Forres, in particular the angling fraternity.

However, SEPA have now made web access to the River Findhorn Gauge at Forres possible. The value of this data access cannot be measured. It not only provides a useful service to the members of the Forres Angling Association but a valuable community service to the people of Forres as a whole.

With the two water level stations on the River Findhorn anglers will have a very good picture of the state of the River. Findhorn at Forres - Findhorn at Shenachie - Location of the SEPA Shenachie Gauge.
